Attorney Chris Gilley began his legal career in private practice serving as as associate for an insurance defense firm in South Bend, Indiana. At the firm, he drafted trial briefs, successfully tried a civil jury trial, and worked with numerous insurance representatives. While at the firm, Mr. Gilley quickly learned that he belonged in the courtroom and began serving as a deputy prosecutor in Hamilton County (Noblesville), Marion County (Indianapolis), and Madison County (Anderson). As a prosecutor, he tried over fifty jury trials ranging from misdemeanors to major felonies. He has also served as a deputy prosecutor in the Marion County OVWI Unit, which focuses on the prosecution of misdemeanor and felony DUI offenses throughout Indianapolis. In addition to his trial work, Attorney Christopher Gilley has served as a deputy prosecutor at the arresting processing center where he evaluated charges and made screening decisions, has also defended against petitions for post-conviction relief, and has trained law enforcement in DUI enforcement and sobriety checkpoint administration. While completing law school, Attorney Christopher Gilley participated in the family law legal clinic where he helped clients through divorce proceedings and other related family law matters.
